Thailand’s Khaolak Merlin’s 236-room hotel and resort is now ready to welcome guests after undergoing a five-month refurbishment, the management of the country’s largest chain hotel said on Thursday.
The property offers a unique rainforest setting, gently cascading pools and eight acres of tropical gardens with direct access to 190 metres of soft sandy beach, the owners said.
“Since the resort’s opening in 2003, Khaolak has never been so popular with honeymooners and couples,” hotel director Nantana Wongsatayanont said.
“With our newly refurbished rooms, we enhance and bring together Thailand’s rich heritage and the modern comforts on our clients’ request,” she added.
On the other hand, 488-room Patong Merlin, which started its make-over process in May 2013, is also reopening its doors to the public after the ‘reinvention’ of 89 out of its 325 superior rooms was completed in September 2013, the management said.
Located in the heart of Patong on the first row of beachfront hotels, the resort is a true oasis of peace with lush tropical gardens, four freeform pools and easy access to the shopping and entertainment that have made Patong famous in Asia, the owners said.
