Ebola in West Africa: 8235 dead so far

A total of 8 235 people have been killed by the Ebola virus out of the 20 747 cases diagnosed in West Africa, according to the latest figures released by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The first West African case of Ebola was reported in Guinea Conakry in December 2013, and the virus has since decimated populations in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
