Donald Trump will be the 45th president of the United States of America. After a night full of surprises and counter-surprises, Trump has finally reached the fateful number of 270 delegates.
Hillary Clinton, who seemed to be the favourite candidate to win the battle of the White House, has called her rival on the phone to acknowledge her heavy defeat.
“I will be the president of all Americans,” a delightful Trump, flanked by his wife and his children, told a packed audience.
Voters also sent a Republican majority in the Senate and the House of Representatives. What will be the reactions of financial markets and international capitals? What policy will lead the new president and with what consequences for Europe, Africa and France?
