The Cirque de la Symphonie, assisted by the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, will perform at the Teatro at Montecasino in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 17 August at 8pm and 18 August 2013 at 2pm, it was announced today.
Johannesburg audiences will get to experience world-class aerial flyers, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers, balancers and strongmen, including world record holders, gold-medal winners of international competitions and Olympians.
All of them performing mesmerizing routines, which have been carefully choreographed to both draw from and enhance classical masterpieces and popular contemporary music.
Imagine the world’s best athletic circus acts performing near impossible stunts right before your eyes. Cirque de la Symphonie, a new production presented by Charl van Heyningen Enterprises, was indeed formed to bring the magic of cirque to the concert hall.
Now imagine watching them perform with mind-boggling grace and strength to an inspiring soundtrack of the greatest classics, provided by the renowned Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
