Canal Plus Afrique gets broadcasting rights for 2014 FIFA World Cup

African soccer lovers are set to get an exceptional TV coverage during the 2014 FIFA World Cup soccer in Brazil after Paris-based Canal Plus Afrique was awarded the Africa’s broadcasting rights of the competition this week.

The world’s most popular tournament will be held from 12 June to 13 July 2014 in the world’s sixth-largest economy.
Canal Plus said it will broadcast the entire competition on its Canal+ channels, including Canal Plus Foot, with every single match being aired live.

“This exceptional commitment is illustrative of the desire of Canal Plus Afrique to offer the very best quality of broadcasting to African TV viewers, particularly for those countries whose teams have qualified”, the broadcaster MD David Mignot said in a statement.
