Brit Award winner UK boy band Blake are coming to South Africa in June this year, alongside Iceland-born Cortes, the popular opera star.
On agenda lie four shows (two in Johannesburg and two in Cape Town), which contain a fantastic combination of opera, classical, musicals and pop.
The Johannesburg shows will take place on 27-28 June at 8pm at the Emperors Palace, while the Cape Town Convention Centre will be the venue for the Cape Town concerts planned for 20-21 June 2014 at 8pm.
Blake launched their first album in 2007, which got them their first Gold Disc after 100 000 copies were sold in just three weeks.
Cortes was born into a musical family and trained as a singer in Vienna, Copenhagen and London. He has performed various leading tenor roles in operas, as well as a leading part in The Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End. His debut album in the UK, titled Cortes, was released on 16 April 2007 and entered the UK classical chart at number one.
